What is a Prenatal Nutrition Assessment?
A prenatal nutrition assessment is a deeply personalized, three-phase process designed to optimize your health and your baby's development throughout pregnancy. We’ll work together to form an evidence-based roadmap for pregnancy that is tailored to your unique body, lifestyle, and needs.
1: Initial Consultation (75-Minute Video Call)
This initial consultation is an in-depth review to understand your unique needs and goals.
In-Depth History: We review your comprehensive health history, lifestyle factors, and specific pregnancy concerns.
Data Review: We analyze your detailed pre-assessment questionnaire and any available blood work to identify existing nutrient levels, potential risks, and target areas for growth.
Simple Actionable Goals: The call concludes with 2-3 simple, actionable nutrition goals you can implement right away.
2: Deep Dive (dietary analysis by me!)
After our initial meeting, you will send in a 3-day food log (your typical food and drink intake).
No Call Required: This part is done entirely by me!
Comprehensive Dietary Analysis: I’ll take your food log and analyze it using specialized software. I’ll break down your intake of macronutrients (protein, fats, carbs), micronutrients (vitamins and minerals), and fiber to pinpoint precise areas of discussion relative to your current prenatal needs. I’ll then create a customized supplement protocol for you.
3: A Personalized Plan (Two 60-Minute Follow-Up Calls)
Results Review: We meet to review the results of your 3-day dietary analysis, helping you clearly understand how you can nourish your body to support your pregnancy.
Customized Supplement Plan: Based on your blood work and dietary analysis, you will receive a customized supplement protocol. This ensures you are taking the right forms and dosages of nutrients (like iron, folate, choline, etc.), eliminating the overwhelm and guesswork of what you should be taking and when.
Actionable Strategy: You walk away with a clear roadmap for your pregnancy, providing the confidence that you are doing everything possible to support the optimal growth and development of your baby and to more fully enjoy this time!
